December Trip to the UK
So rather unexpectedly I found myself in the UK before Christmas. London was just shimmering with lights and Christmas seemed to be everywhere (although Trafalgar's square lighting ceremony was a little tame in comparison to Regent Street or Oxford Street).
I finally got to visit Brighton on this trip and it didn't disappoint. Everyone said I would love it and it was great. It also helped that I had some great company who looked after me while I was there. We even got out to see the Seven Sisters on a brilliantly sunny day. It was fantastic. And then I read all about the area in the book I picked up at Victoria Station on my way there - Bill Bryson's The Road to Little Dribbling. It is a great follow-up 20 years after the publication of Notes from a Small Island.
