I've spent a lot of time coming and going through this entranceway over the years. First this was an area that I loved shopping in when I was a kid and there was a great movie theater right beside it. It also wasn't too far from my university canvas so I often ended up here. Then I worked nearby at the museum. Now I don't get there as often and the movie theater is long gone. The big rock was added to the area a long time ago (no it wasn't always there).
